SHANGHAI, China — China’s iron ore imports hit their second-lowest level of the year in July, and are likely to fall further amid a downturn in demand from steel mills.

Iron ore prices have been falling steadily since late April, along with a deepening slump in China’s steel market. This has resulted in poor iron ore demand that is expected to extend into at least August.....
