Mill-grade aluminum scrap prices drop with LME

NEW YORK — Free-market mill-grade aluminum scrap prices declined Monday, following the London Metal Exchange's downward slide, but secondary scrap and alloy prices were largely unchanged.

Prices for 3105 segregated clippings fell to 77 to 79 cents per pound from 78 to 80 cents previously, while 5052 clippings dropped to 87 to 89 cents per pound from 89 to 90 cents.

Used beverage cans also fell a penny to 69 to 71 cents per pound (picked up), while aluminum-copper radiators slipped to $1.58 to $1.63 per pound from $1.59 to $1.64. ....
