E. Coast export prices fall while W. Coast rise

NEW YORK U.S. ferrous scrap export prices for bulk cargoes moved in opposite directions on the East and West coasts over the past week, when a total of nine sales were reported.
East Coast sources reported seven bulk shipments to Turkey, booked mostly on Thursday and Friday, with prices for an 80/20 mix of No. 1 and No. 2 heavy melt scrap ranging from $408 to $410 per tonne c.f.r. Turkey.
However, those prices were lower than previous trades, sending AMMs East Coast Ferrous Scrap Export Index down nearly 2 percent to $382.44 per tonne f.o.b. New York for HMS 1&2 (80:20) from $390.14 previously.....
