NEW YORK Rio Tinto Alcan has successfully restarted one of the potlines at its Alma aluminum smelter in Quebec and expects the site to return to its nameplate capacity of 438,000 tonnes per year by mid-November, a company spokesman told AMM.
The potline, which has been idled for six months, was brought back online earlier this month. ....
