CHICAGO Empire Industries Ltd. returned to profitability in the second quarter thanks to projects in China and western Canada as well as an increased focus on specialized products for theme parks.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba-based steel fabricator and installer posted net income of Canadian $682,000 ($686,900) for the three months ended June 30 in contrast to a net loss of C$1.57 million in the same period last year on revenue that jumped 28.8 percent to more than C$22.41 million ($22.57 million).....
