Ferromet seeks court OK to sell equipment

PITTSBURGH — A scrap metals processor, recycler and broker operating in Ohio and Pennsylvania appears to be considering winding down the scrap processing side of the business and operating exclusively as a broker.

Medina, Ohio-based Ferromet Corp. and New Castle, Pa.-based subsidiaries Ferrotech Inc. and Ferrotech Realty LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May, citing an issue with its lending institution as the main driver behind the move (amm.com, May 10). ....
