PITTSBURGH James R. Breth, a former chairman of David J. Joseph Co. (DJJ) whose career at the company spanned 42 years, died in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Monday, six days before his 83rd birthday.
After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Breth joined DJJ in 1956 and worked his way up to the top post at the metals recycler and broker, now owned by Charlotte, N.C.-based Nucor Corp. He was named president in 1979 and chairman and....
