Brazil to impose 25% duty on various imports

SÃO PAULO, Brazil — The Brazilian government plans to temporarily raise to 25 percent the import duty on 100 products from several sectors—including steel, aluminum and copper—in order to support local industries.

Affected steel products include hot-rolled coil, heavy plate, wire rod, stainless steel sheet and coil, alloy bars, oriented grain silicon steel, pipe and drawn products. ....
