Horsehead to raise zinc oxide prices in 2013

NEW YORK Horsehead Corp. and Zochem Inc. will increase zinc oxide product prices in 2013 in anticipation of reduced capacity when the Monaca refinery in Pennsylvania is shut down, according to parent company Horsehead Holding Corp.
Zinc oxide premiums are expected to increase by at least 10 cents per pound for contract business in 2013, depending on the market, with some price differential likely between contract and spot business, according to the Pittsburgh-based company.....
