JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — The future of South Africa’s chrome industry depends on consolidation and joint investment in power generation by producers, according to Ruukki Group Oyj enterprise director Danko Konchar.
The industry faces a bleak outlook for demand and prices as internal costs continue to rise, Konchar said in Johannesburg Thursday at the fifth South African Ferroalloys Conference sponsored by AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin.....
