SALTA, Argentina Perus approach to mining regulation needs to change in order to avoid conflicts over resources, especially water supplies, according to Cesar Carbajal, social affairs manager for Peru at consulting firm MWH Global Inc.
Many conflicts between different groups in Peru originate in mining activity, and the water supply is often the main issue, Carbajal said during the Argentina Mining conference in Salta. ....
