Canadian miners struggling to raise capital for projects: executive

SALTA, Argentina — Nearly four out of five Canadian mining companies are struggling to raise capital to fund future projects because the economic crisis has spooked investors, the director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada said.

"About 80 percent of the exploring companies are having trouble (raising capital) for their projects," Normand Champigny said at the Argentina Mining conference in Salta.....
