NEW YORK — Steel industry veteran Joseph Koppelman, chairman of service center Mid-West Materials Inc., died Sunday. He was 94.

Koppelman co-founded the company in 1952 and oversaw its growth into a 240,000-square-foot facility, the Perry, Ohio-based processor and distributor said. He was named the Association of Steel Distributors’ Steel Man of the Year in 1962 and served as....
