Chinese hot-rolled coil export offers up, domestic tags jump

SHANGHAI, China Chinese steelmakers have raised export offers for hot-rolled coil for November shipment to reflect an improvement in the domestic market.
Export offers for commercial-grade, boron-containing hot-rolled coil are now at $510 to $520 per tonne f.o.b. for November shipment, up $10 per tonne from levels seen for October shipment.
However, it remains to be seen whether the new prices will be accepted as there have been few transactions thus far.
"It is not easy to get orders at the updated prices as we are facing the competitive low offers from South Korean steelmakers," one trader in Shanghai told AMM sister publication Steel First.....
