SINGAPORE Some deals for fourth-quarter aluminum at main Japanese ports have been settled at premiums of $254 to $255 per tonne, AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin understands
.
"Buyers are asking for $250 and (sellers) are demanding $258 (in Japan)," a Singapore-based trader said. A conservative estimate for main Japanese port premium settlement is $255 per tonne, he added, but only some deals have been done.
A Tokyo-based trader confirmed those figures. "We didnt conclude any deals in Moscow, but a supplier asked us to settle at $255," he said. "We are trying to decrease it, but it will be above $250 and the main range will be $254 to $255."....
