RTI Canton fire to hit bottom line, not orders

LOS ANGELES — RTI International Metals Inc. has temporarily shifted its manufacturing activities from one Ohio site to another in the wake of a weekend fire that knocked out an electrical transformer.
The fire at the Canton site is expected to have "no impact to any customer delivery schedules," the Pittsburgh-based producer said, noting the shift in manufacturing to its Niles site.
However, third-quarter operating income at RTI’s titanium group could take a hit in the range of $1.25 million to $1.75 million. The group’s operating income in the second quarter was $4.9 million.....
