Aluminum scrap, alloy prices increase

NEW YORK — Free-market aluminum scrap and secondary alloy prices rose further Monday, although not as dramatically as forecast last week, as London Metal Exchange prices appeared to level out after almost a month of steady gains.
Old sheet prices moved up to a range of 69 to 71 cents per pound from 68 to 70 cents, while old cast moved up to 72 to 74 cents from 71 to 73 cents.
5052 segregated clippings moved up to a range of 98 cents to $1 per pound from 97 to 99 cents, while mill-grade painted siding moved up to 80 to 82 cents from 79 to 81 cents.....
