NEW YORK West Coast export prices for containerized ferrous scrap appear to have made a modest recovery as buyers in Taiwan lifted tags to secure volume.
Prices for an 80/20 mix of No. 1 and No. 2 heavy melting scrap have clawed their way back to a range of $340 to $350 per tonne c.f.r. Taiwan, market participants said. Just one week ago, prices hit a low of $330 to $335 per tonne c.f.r. (amm.com, Sept. 11).....
