China copper demand growth forecast cut

SHANGHAI, China — China’s copper demand growth forecast for this year has been cut to 4.2 percent from 5 percent, analysts from China International Capital Corp. (CICC) said in a report.

"At this point, we do not see a compelling physical backdrop (more aggressive Chinese fiscal measures notwithstanding) to sustain prices much above our base case," according to the Sept. 18 report issued by a team of CICC analysts led by James Luke.....
