NEW YORK The recent surge in London Metal Exchange zinc prices has largely quelled spot trading, according to traders, with U.S. free-market premiums unchanged despite the rise in commodity prices.
The benchmark No. 3 alloy held in a range of 16.5 cents to 18.5 cents per pound, although one alloy producer reported major tonnage transacted at up to 20 cents per pound delivered into Canada.....
