GM in labor deal, Chrysler still talking

CHICAGO — The Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) union and General Motors Co. have reached a tentative agreement on a new four-year labor pact, leaving only Chrysler Group LLC among the Detroit area’s Big Three automakers without a contract at its Canadian operations.
The GM deal includes at least Canadian $675 million ($691.6 million) in investments at the automaker’s facilities in Oshawa and St. Catharines, Ontario, the CAW said.
The agreement, which covers about 5,500 GM workers in Canada, was reached Thursday night, Detroit-based GM said, but would not disclose the terms of the deal pending ratification by union members.....
