Alloy prices ease, frustrating some producers

NEW YORK — Secondary aluminum alloy producers are frustrated by a downturn in free-market prices driven by a settling in London Metal Exchange tags, while some scrap prices also corrected after a week-earlier surge.

A380.1 eased to a range of $1.02 to $104 per pound from $1.03 to $1.04, while 319.1 dropped to $1.06 to $1.08 per pound from $1.07 to $1.09. A360.1 and A413.1 both fell to a range of $1.08 to $1.09 per pound from $1.09 to $1.10 previously.....
