European aluminum billet rises as contract talks begin

LONDON — European aluminum billet premiums rose at the end of last week as producers and customers met to discuss tonnages for next year’s contracts, which could include some unorthodox delivery and pricing terms.

"Some want cover for the whole year, some will leave it on a six-month or quarterly basis," a buyer said, adding that he would seek to match his purchasing behavior next year with that of his customers. ....
