ThyssenKrupp investing in distribution

NEW YORK — ThyssenKrupp AG will invest $13 million to build a new processing and distribution center in Alabama as part of its Materials Services division.

Construction of the facility in Woodstock, Ala., is set to begin this month and is expected to be completed by May 2013, a ThyssenKrupp spokesman said Tuesday.

The new plant will support operations at the company’s nonferrous and stainless steel processing and distribution division, Ken-Mac Metals and its Steel Services division, the company said.....
