Investment-friendly rules said needed in China

DALIAN, China — Australia is looking for China to step up its resource development investments in the nation as its companies increasingly turn to the Asian country to buy mining equipment.

Chinese regulations need to become more investment-friendly, according to Frances Adamson, Australia’s ambassador to China.

"We know China is looking to expand overseas investment; we welcome this," she told delegates Thursday at the 12th China International Steel and Raw Materials Conference in Dalian, northern China, hosted by the China Iron and Steel Association (Cisa) and the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT.....
