CHICAGO A. Finkl & Sons Co. plans to move into the stainless market and ship around the world from its new facility on Chicagos South Side, according to chief executive officer Bruce Liimatainen.
The Chicago-based tool steel maker started its South Side mill in 2011 and is getting ready for hot-commissioning of its new vacuum oxygen decarburization (VOD) furnace as it eyes the engineering steel, oil and gas, and plastic mold and die steel markets, not only in North America but also in emerging markets like China, India and Brazil, Liimatainen said at AMMs....
