CANCUN, Mexico The BRIC nationsBrazil, Russia, India and Chinamight have led the world economy in recent years, but signs point to an internal slowing in the previous powerhouses, with China and India in particular poised to underperform, according to Peter Marcus, managing partner at World Steel Dynamics Inc. (WSD).
"I think the odds are probably 40 percent that the Chinese economy is in good shape," Marcus told attendees at the second annual Mexican Steel Conference hosted by Mexican steelmakers association Canacero. "Then we have the other possibility: that China is running into trouble."....
