CSN said mulling buy of TK's Brazil slab mill

SÃO PAULO, Brazil — Brazilian flat steel and iron ore producer Cia. Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) has hired a local investment bank to evaluate the possibility of it acquiring ThyssenKrupp CSA’s Cia. Siderúrgica do Atlântico slab plant, according to news reports.

The company did not confirm the information when queried by the São Paulo Stock Exchange, Bovespa, but said it "has (a) policy to monitor and evaluate all the movements of the companies from the sectors in which it operates."....
