Teamsters OK Nichols’ labor deal, end dispute

NEW YORK Nichols Aluminum LLC and the Teamsters union have agreed on a new five-year labor contract, putting an end to a nine-month dispute.
Nichols employees, represented by Teamsters Local 371, last Thursday and Friday "overwhelmingly" voted in favor of the new contract, both sides told AMM.
Accepting the new offer puts an end to a nine-month clash and a nearly three-month strike at Nichols two Davenport, Iowa, facilities that cost the company some $2.1 million in its fiscal third quarter (amm.com, Sept. 4).....
