Tokyo Steel cuts scrap prices as demand slides

TOKYO — Japanese scrap tags continue to decline as Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co. Ltd. has again reduced its scrap buying prices amid lackluster demand and falling export tags.
In its latest move, Japan’s largest electric-arc furnace operator and effective benchmark price-setter cut its prices for scrap deliveries to all five of its works by a further 500 yen ($6.50) per tonne.....
