NEW YORK Delivered zinc premiums are holding steady as producers and consumers begin talks on special-high-grade contract premiums for 2013.
A growing sense that supplies are tight has helped keep a floor under delivered premiums for special-high-grade zinc, even amid demand that was described as steady to slow.
"Typically wed sell SHG, too," one die cast alloy producer told AMM. "But its pretty tight for the U.S.zinc is now mimicking aluminum. Theres tons available, but its all tied up in financing deals and you cant get it out."....
