Ahmsa crude steel capacity to jump 40%

MEXICO CITY Crude steel capacity at integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) will increase by about 40 percent starting in the first quarter of 2013, according to chief executive officer Alonso Ancira Elizondo.
Capacity will reach approximately 5.5 million tonnes per year, up from 3.8 million tonnes last year, he said at the second annual Mexican Steel Conference in Cancun, Mexico, hosted by steelmakers association Canacero.....
