Davenport fatality lands Alcoa OSHA fine

NEW YORK Alcoa Inc. has been fined more than $37,000 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) following the death of a worker at its Davenport, Iowa, plant this past summer.
The worker, Robert Leech, was working on a coil slitter in the sheet finishing department in Davenport on July 16 when the accident occurred, an OSHA spokesman told AMM.....
