Japanese steelmakers worry about auto boycott in China

TOKYO — Japan’s steelmakers are concerned about a huge drop in Japanese auto sales in China as the country’s consumers boycott Japanese goods.

"Of course we are worried about the situation in China," one industry executive told AMM sister publication Steel First. "We have not yet felt any direct impact, but clearly if sales of Japanese cars continue to fall and makers are forced to cut output for any length....
