TK Steel USA bids in, deal could take time: exec

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Bidding has closed on ThyssenKrupp Steel USA LLC’s assets, but a potential sale could take until 2014 to conclude, a company executive said.

"All the bids had to be in two weeks ago, and so the bids are closed. We had the interest you read about in the newspapers," Ron Stowe, director of product coordination at the Calvert, Ala.-based subsidiary of steelmaker ThyssenKrupp AG, said Monday during a question-and-answer session at Steel Market Update’s third annual Steel Summit conference in Rosemont, Ill.....
