Salzgitter Mannesmann lawsuit claims steel shipment damaged

NEW YORK — Steel trader Salzgitter Mannesmann International (USA) Inc. has filed a lawsuit against a Russian carrier for alleged damage to a steel product shipment into the Port of Houston from Ukraine.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Texas, alleges that around Dec. 30, 2011, the vessel M/V Atlantic Dream and defendants Atlantic Ro Ro Carriers of Texas Inc., JSC Baltic Mercur, Atlantic Ro Ro Carriers Inc.,....
