NEW DELHI Indian business leaders are pushing their government to ban the export of bauxite due to concerns that local alumina refineries are being starved of supplies.
Rising bauxite exports to China are especially concerning, according to Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) director Arnab Kumar Hazra.
FICCI has called on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi to ban bauxite exports, warning that if a ban isnt imposed, some Indian refineries could close.....
