NEW YORK The Public Service Commission (PSC) of West Virginia has granted an extension to Century Aluminum Co., giving the producer more time to develop a new power rate proposal for its Ravenswood, W.Va., smelter.
The Monterey, Calif.-based company has until Oct. 26 to file a petition for reconsideration for a power contract for its 170,000-tonne-per-year smelter, which has been idled since 2009. ....
