West Chicago shredder plan dead: Cozzi

PITTSBURGH Cozzi OBrien Recycling LLC wants to establish an auto shredding operation in West Chicago, Ill., but opposition from local officials appears to have stymied the effort.
The opposition stems from truck traffic and dust that would be generated as a result of the operation, the company was told by the West Chicago development committee.
Based on this opposition, the project is dead in the water at this point, Frank Cozzi, an industry veteran and chief executive officer of the Franklin Park, Ill.-based recycler, told AMM.....
