Warehousing kept HKEx’s Li awake during LME bidding

LONDON — Warehousing was the one issue that could have prompted Charles Li to withdraw from the bidding process for the London Metal Exchange, the chief executive officer of Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. (HKEx) said.

"If there was one area in the LME process that has kept me up and that potentially would have been an issue we could have walked away from, it would be the warehouses," Li told delegates during an LME Week seminar. ....
