No contract cancellations, deferrals, says Codelco exec

LONDON — Copper demand in certain segments is subdued, but Chilean producer Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco) has had no contract cancellations or deferrals.

Despite the sometimes-gloomy economic backdrop, the copper market so far has "surpassed expectations," chief executive officer Thomas Keller told AMM. "As far as our customers are concerned, we haven’t seen a decline in orders" or any cancellations or deferrals.....
