Spot SHG zinc premiums rise

NEW YORK Free-market spot premiums for special-high-grade (SHG) zinc have risen slightly due to a reported shortage of available material, with 2013 contract prices also firming up.
The SHG spot premium moved up to a range of 7.5 to 8.5 cents per pound from 7 to 8 cents previously. One broker who reported transactions said that spot prices for SHG were "anywhere from 8 to 10 cents, depending on freight," having moved up because of a "developing shortage."....
