Caucus urges action vs. tube duty evasion

CHICAGO — The Congressional Steel Caucus wants stricter enforcement of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from China, according to a draft letter from the caucus to the Commerce Department.

The caucus would like to see "specific steps" taken, particularly to address the issue of duties being evaded when OCTG undergoes "minor processing in third-party countries," the caucus said in the undated letter addressed to Rebecca Blank, Commerce’s acting secretary.....
