DJJ subsidiary seeks limestone mining permit

PITTSBURGH — A David J. Joseph Co. (DJJ) subsidiary has sought permission to operate a surface mine in Missouri in order to expand the processing area at one of its auto-shredding facilities.

The company did not return calls for comment, but according to documents filed with the state, Advantage Metals Recycling LLC has applied for a permit from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to mine limestone on a 21-acre....
