CHICAGO — The Aluminum Association's and Aluminum Extruders Council’s fall meeting in Chicago is traditionally more a jumping off point for 2013 contract talks, but with the majority of next year’s deals already inked, this year’s event was a different story.

Mating season is typically only about halfway complete when the October meeting takes place, but producers and extruders both confirmed that a solid chunk of their 2013 business was already booked by the time they arrived in Chicago on Monday.....
