CHICAGO Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) continues to boost production at its structural and rail division near Columbia City, Ind., as it looks to reduce the operations exposure to the "anemic" nonresidential construction sector.
The Columbia City facility has boosted capacity utilization to 54 percent this year despite doldrums in nonresidential construction, SDI chief executive officer Mark Millett said Thursday during a conference call with analysts following the release of the Fort Wayne, Ind.-based steelmakers third-quarter earnings results.....
