CHICAGO Skana Aluminum Co.s recent purchase of Scott Aluminum Corp. in West Virginia will allow Manitowoc, Wis.-based Skana to increase its exposure in certain markets, according to one of the companys top executives.
The acquisition of Scott Aluminum, a cold-rolling mill in Clarksburg, W.Va., which was completed on Oct. 9, will increase Skanas transformer windings production and that of other light-gauge products, markets the company feels offer excellent opportunities for aluminum, Skana president and chief operating officer Robert Gamba told AMM on the sidelines....
