Vale to suspend Frood Mine on falling prices

NEW YORK Vale SA will suspend operations at its Frood nickel-copper mine in Sudbury, Ontario, at the end of the year, a company spokesman told AMM.
After more than 100 years of operations, Frood is a remnant area that today has low-value ore and declining grades, he said in an e-mail.
