GM slates $35M to build electric Cadillac

CHICAGO General Motors Co. will invest $35 million to revamp its Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant in order to manufacture the Cadillac ELR, an extended-range electric luxury coupe.
Production on the ELR is scheduled to begin in late 2013. Detroit-Hamtramck currently makes the Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera and Holden Volt extended-range electric vehicles and exports them to 21 countries.....
