TMK's North American operations take a hit

CHICAGO OAO TMKs North American operations are being hurt by imported oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and low natural gas prices, the company said.
The Moscow-based steel tube and pipe producer, which owns Downers Grove, Ill.-based TMK Ipsco, shipped 265,000 tonnes from its North American operations during the third quarter, down 7.5 percent from the same year-ago period. However, 836,000 tonnes were shipped in the first nine months of 2012, up 12 percent year on year.....
